Stepping Stone programs

Stepping Stone Community Services Society provides a range of programs and housing opportunities for people in Langley living with mental illness. The psychosocial rehabilitation programs help people to live, learn, work and socialize in their community. Programs include a Clubhouse Program, Therapeutic Volunteer Program (TVP), Employment Program, Supported Independent Living Program (SIL), Community Living Support (CLS) and a range of housing services. In March 2009 Stepping Stone embarked on a new project, the Rainbow Program. This program is a partnership between Stepping Stone Community Services Society, Fraser Health and Langley Lions Housing Society and provides enhanced supported housing for people living with mental illness.

Stepping Stone also operates the Homeless Outreach Program. Outreach Workers provide supports to people in Langley who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The primary goal of the program is to help people stabilize their lives by connecting them with services and assist with finding affordable, adequate housing.

Mental Health Programs are funded by Fraser Health, Mental Health and Substance Use Services. Homeless Outreach Program is funded by BC Housing and in part by the Government of Canada's Homelessness Partnering Strategy. We also receive funds from foundations, corporate grants, private donations and provincial gaming revenues.
